Rural Training Guide

Write for us

We welcome considered pitches that help readers understand rural learning, land-based subjects, and the choices involved in building knowledge or skills. A strong proposal is clear about its reader and offers a distinct subject rather than a broad overview.

Ideas we welcome

Pitch an explanation, comparison, learning habit, subject background, or carefully framed account of a rural learning topic. Ideas should be useful without relying on unverified claims, professional advice, or instructions that require readers to act under local rules.

What makes a good pitch

Tell us the working title, the central question, who the piece is for, and what a reader will understand by the end. Mention the main points you would cover and any claims that need checking. Keep the proposal focused enough to show how it differs from a general introduction.

Send a proposal

Use the Contact page to send your pitch and select the editorial question option. Please include a short description of your relevant experience if it helps explain your approach; we do not require a particular credential. Sending a pitch does not guarantee publication.

Our approach

Good learning starts with a clear next step

Rural subjects can feel broad at first. We break them into questions you can explore, compare, and return to as your interests take shape.
